Emergency Food Assistance Program
The Emergency Food Assistance Program is the largest direct distribution program at Food Share. Six pantries 3,500 people served monthly 56,000 pounds of food distributed monthly
The Sol Project
The Sol Project is a summer lunch program begun in summer 2003. Its mission is to provide a free nutritious lunch to at risk children throughout the summer. Ten meal sites 235-280 lunches delivered daily 82,002 lunches served since 2003
Senior Food Boxes
"Senior Food Boxes" provides food to seniors whose mobility or health issues prevent them from accessing an emergency box at their local pantry. 33 boxes delivered monthly by Meals on Wheels Special, easy-prepare and single-serve foods
Newport Community Garden Project
Newport Community Garden Project provides vegetable plots to clients interested in gaining a measure of food independence. Master Gardeners assist growers with planning and planting Food Share receives a portion of the harvest
Holiday Giving
A collaboration with the local Salvation Army Special food baskets and gifts are distributed Senior gifts & boxes delivered through Meals on Wheels
